- 1. 1 Peter 2 9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises (excellence; virtue) of Him Who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.God has chosen us to be His Own People:The church age is a special age:Every Christian is a king and a priest.
- 2. 2Jesus is King of kings He has dominion over all things.We are royalty -- sons and daughtersof God;Jesus Christ is our elder brother.
- 3. 3We have the Power of royalty:

- 7. 7We are God’s peculiar people – meaning He chose us to be His Own He bought us with the Blood of His Son He cares for us as for favorite servants. He delights in us as His precious children.
- 8. 8God chose us, bought us, cares for us, delights in us, and made us His people,Brought usout of darkness into His glorious light, and granted us His sweet mercy -- for a purpose:9 … that ye (we) should shew forth the praises (excellence; virtue) of Him …
- 9. 9The excellence and virtue of Jesus Christ must be seen in us, for we are His body on this earth.People can’t see within us, to see our spirit.It is in our walking and talking that we show the excellence and virtue of JESUS to the world.
