- 2. Remember! When you round, you look to the digit to the right. 5 or greater – round UP 4 or less – round DOWN
- 3. Clustering - estimating a sum when the addends are about the same.
- 4. 1802 + 2182 + 1999 2000 + 2000 + 2000
- 5. Underestimate – an estimate that is less than the exact answer.
- 6. Overestimate – an estimate that is more than the exact answer.
