Creating the Assessment
Plan ahead:
Why? What do you hope the outcome will be?
What do your learners already know?
How do they learn best? Are there some who might not feel
successful? What then?
Where will you be playing?
How many questions do you have time (and student energy) for?
Do you need “talk time” between the questions?
Will your students be able to read the questions and answers?

Playing a Quizizz
Step 1: Search
Search for quizzes using relevant
keywords, or the username of the
creator.
2 Sorting Options
1. Relevant (default): This sorts the
quizzes by how closely they match
your keywords.
2. Newest: This sorts the quizzes
(that match your keywords) by
how recently they were created.
Bonus Option: Include duplicates?
Include duplicate versions of quizzes in
the list of results.
(Useful if you like a quiz, and want to
see variations of it.)

Step 2: Live or Homework?
1. Ideal for an in-class review session.
2. Game automatically ends when all
the students have completed.
3. Students need to complete in one
sitting, they cannot resume a game
later.
4. Has a “Live Results” dashboard
while the game is running.
1. Ideal for a homework assignment.
2. You can set a deadline up to 2
weeks into the future.
3. Game automatically ends at the
deadline.
4. Students can resume a half-done
assignment later.
Both Live and Homework game data will show up in the “My Reports” tab
Quizizz supports 2 modes for conducting a game, live and homework.

Step 3: Quiz Settings
Use these settings to adjust the level
of competition and fun.
1. Jumble Questions order for each student
2. Jumble Answers for each question
3. Show Answers after questions
4. Show Quiz Review on student devices at the
end of the quiz
5. Show Leaderboard
6. Question Timer: If ON, students get 600 points
for correct + up to 400 time bonus, 0 points for
wrong answers. If this is turned OFF, students
will get 1000 points for correct, and 0 for wrong.
7. Show memes (the funny pictures after
questions)
8. Play Music on student devices

Step 4: Share Code
Once you click PROCEED on the
customization page, your 5 digit GAME CODE
is shown on the screen.
Ask your students to open
http://join.quizizz.com
and
1. Enter the GAME CODE
2. Enter their name/nickname
TEACHER’S SCREEN STUDENT’S SCREEN

Step 4: GO!!!
If you are playing a homework game, it will already be started.
For a live game, once students have joined, click “START GAME” to begin your Quizizz!
TIP 1: Click on a student’s name/icon to kick them out of the game if required.
TIP 2: Students can join a live game after the quiz begins also, so you can get started even if
a few students are yet to join.

Step 5: Realtime Feedback
For live games, you will see realtime updates of student-level progress, as well as the
number of right/wrong answers on a question-level.
Homework games also have a report that gives you all the same data.
Tip 1: The game automatically ends once all the students have completed all the
questions.
Tip 2: Use the student progress graph to see how much each student has left to do.
Tip 3: You can also end the game any time by clicking “End Game”.
