Proposal Centre Name and Number: York College 48357 Student Name and Number: Jay William Brown 2346581630 Project proposal title and date: Decegitated February the 24th Main area of activity: Film Rationale: Ive made a music video and pixel art animation. I will use these skills when I film because ive had experience in the music video, I also can use my premiere pro editing skills I got from both projects mainly the music video. The music video will have a direct impact because I developed angle filming work, however I do want to use more angles in my new project. I can use all the editing skills I have which will make the whole process quicker, also if I use a green screen ill pretty much be an expert because I did a lot on it on my previous music video project. Project Concept: The concept of my short film project is that a group of lads who take the mick out of a clearly mentally unwell man face the consequences as he kills them one by one in a comedic horror set in England. I need to do research on horror movies and short films, I need to see how they are done in terms with the practical effects of killing. I need research on how to scare an audience. Research on comedy horror films. I need to research makeup effects, safety precautions if we use a knife. More research on editing and camera work. I need to research on the locations im going to use, and people I will cast but I think I will use my friends so hoping that will go well. I need to research about script writing and organisation. I need to make sure it fits into a 3-5 minute time but if it goes over it goes over in my opinion. Costume research would be helpful and any equipment I will need I will have to do research on. I will do research by watching my inspirations for this that I did in my moodboard and see what they did right or even wrong that I can use and change in my final project. How will the project be evaluated and reviewed: I can use my reflective journals I can also ask for feedback from Scott and maybe friends. I can look over what I did in the day and ask myself am I happy with that and if not I can change. This will help my work by seeing if I need to do more work or seeing if my idea is bad so I can change it to be better. Looking over your own work I can see if I missed anything that was on the plan to do so there will hopefully be zero mistakes. 1
