LaTeX Installation • Installing Latex needs two things: • A Latex distribution • contains the typesetting system as well as many packages that you may use while preparing Latex documents. • The Latex distribution has different names for different operating systems (Linux: TeX Live, Mac OS X: MacTeX and Windows: proTeXt/MikTeX). • A Latex editor • provide Latex-specific functionality like code highlighting, sometimes auto completion, macros, automatic document generation, etc • For windows TeXnicCenter or WinEdt © Sarita Bopalkar

I am using MikTex Text Editor The editor is a personal choice, you can use any simple text editor. There are many advanced text editors specifically dedicated to LATEX for the most popular operating systems Here I am using WinEdt Download full installation with all packages.
