This paper examines the effect of Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) on the accuracy of state estimation in power systems, comparing classical methods to a full weighted least square state estimation technique. It highlights the benefits of integrating PMUs for improved measurement accuracy, reliability, and efficient power flow management in systems like IEEE 9 and IEEE 14 bus systems. Simulation results demonstrate that measurements performed with PMUs significantly reduce error deviations compared to traditional measurement techniques.
