As the speed of the ball increases, air resistance acting on it increases. Resultant force
on the ball deceases and so the acceleration decreases
When the weight of the ball is balanced by the air resistance, it reaches terminal
velocity
Q-R the car accelerates and in RS it decelerates and stops at S and rolls back . As some
energy is lost due friction, it finally stops at R
Q and S are at the same height . As some energy is lost due to friction, it cannot
rise to the same height

distance
Moment of force= force x perpendicular distance of the force from the pivot
In steam the molecules move very fast in different directions. They collide with
each other and also with the walls of the container
The molecules collide with the walls with high velocity and bounces back . As they
collide and bounce back , they exert pressure on the walls of the container
As the molecules in steam hit the walls of the steel vessel, they lose their energy to
the molecules in steel . This energy is carried away by the electrons to the outer parts
of the container

It is the phenomenon in which an emf is produced in a metallic conductor or coil
due to the relative motion between the magnet and the coil
Keep the magnet along the axis of the coil. Move the magnet towards and away from
the coil .Galvanometer shows a deflection which shows that an emf is induced
Moving the coil faster
Use more number of turns in the coil

Measure the background count. Keep the source and the detector near to each other and
note the count rate. Keep the Al foil in between the source and detector and note the
reading. Add more foils and note the reading , till it reaches the background count
As more and more foil is introduced, count rate decreases and it may become
equal to the background level when the number of sheet is more than 5 or 6
