This document discusses dynamic signature verification (DSV) and the challenges involved in detecting forgery, particularly by opportunistic forgers who are often familiar with the signature they attempt to replicate. A study was conducted to assess perceived signature strength (PSS) and its relation to the ability of forgers to successfully replicate genuine signatures based on characteristics like speed and handedness. The findings suggest that an opportunistic forger's success may correlate with their knowledge of the signature's traits, impacting their perception and approach to forgery.
