LIKE A LAMB – March came in like a lamb…and here at Our Saviour, we celebrate the Lamb
of God who came to suffer and die for our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him. We
ask visitors to please fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with the date, name,
address, phone number, etc. Please come worship again!
EXPERIENCING JOY DURING A "CRUCIBLE EXPERIENCE" – Join us for our Bible
Study class on Sundays at 9:15 and 10:30am. A "Crucible Experience” is a time of suffering that
produces a deep transformation on the inside. Come and watch St. Paul share his deep inner joy
during a time in the "crucible" as written in the book of Philippians.
NURSERY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL – Children toddling to age 3 are invited to the Nursery
(9:15am only) and ages 4 to grade 6 are welcome in Sunday School (children are dismissed to go
to class after the Children‟s Sermon during the 9:15am service); classes end at 10:30am. If you
need assistance, please talk to an usher. If you need a registration form, they can be found in the
office hallway (yellow form in the tall brochure holder by the youth bulletin board).
LENT BEGINS THIS WEEK – March 9 is Ash Wednesday and services will be at 4:00pm and
6:30pm. A luncheon will be provided between services by the Fellowship Committee for a free
will offering. Weekly Lenten services will continue on Wednesdays at these same times with a
luncheon available each week in the gym. If your group is interested in preparing and serving the
luncheon for a night or two, please contact Pastor Greg.
THINKING ABOUT MEMBERSHIP? WANT TO STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH? –
Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 5:20 pm to 6:20pm on March 9, 16, 23 and 30 and
April 6 and 13. Your teachers will be Pastor Dave Hatch and Pastor Greg Hovland. This class is
used as a path to membership through Adult Confirmation but all members and non-members are
welcome to come to strengthen their knowledge in the Christian faith. RSVPs requested but not
required; please call Michelle in the office at 468-4065 or email info@oslc-gb.org.
GIFT CARDS…FOR EVERYDAY NEEDS – It‟s easy. Stop by the Welcome Center and
purchase gift cards. Instead of using cash or a credit card at the store, just use the gift card you
bought through our SCRIP program. Many cards are available today (Festival or Copp‟s, BP or
Shell gas, Fleet Farm and Wal-Mart, etc.). Check the list of SCRIP for other cards that can be
ordered for pick up next week. If you have a large order, a special order may be placed for you
upon request; please talk to Julie Richter. Ask about our Tuition Reimbursement plan.
REALLY BAD GIRLS OF THE BIBLE – Take a pink schedule from the coffee bar. Copies of
the book are available online or at Lighthouse Christian Books. See you on Ash Wednesday
(March 9), for our first class!
LENT DINNERS HOSTED BY LWML – Some of the dinners between Lenten services will be
hosted by the LWML. We no longer have formal meetings, but instead are project-based. We put
out pleas for help with specific projects. If you would like to donate food or serve one of the
dinners during Lent, we would love it! Watch for sign-up sheets or contact Stephenie Hovland
(264-8317), Teri Watt (445-6002), or Donna Arthur (435-2609).
SODA DONATIONS NEEDED FOR FISH FRY – Donations of Coke, Pepsi, Mountain Dew,
Sprite and Diet Sprite are needed. If you can help, please bring your donations to the kitchen as
soon as possible.
LOOKING TO BRING OUT YOUR INNER ARTIST? – Join us for “Sweet Monday” on
March 7th! Door County Artist Christine Kiel will teach us how to create a beautifully painted
serving plate. This is a FREE social, including fun, sweet treats, and a project to take home. Meet
in Classroom 1 between 6 and 6:30pm for snacks and conversation; instruction begins at 6:30pm.
Come join us and bring a friend! Contact Maggie Hinz at 265-6432 with questions.
YOUTH NIGHT CHANGES – Beginning this week (March 9-Ash Wednesday), there will be
no Wednesday Confirmation Class BUT Confirmation Youth are expected to attend service (at 4
or 6:30pm). Homework help, study time, play time, etc. will be available from 3pm to 6:30pm.
8 WEEKS – 2011 is 8 Sundays old as of February 20. Our budget called for giving of $84,518.56

$15,869.52. We ask that you prayerfully continue to support His work at Our Saviour through the
brass plate.
SUPER SALE DONATIONS – Donations are being accepted for the August 20 event. NO
clothes are sold in the Super Sale but we take almost everything else…furniture, linens, books,
holiday items, cookware, glassware, CDs/DVDs, tools, luggage, etc. We ask that you do not
bring computers or TVs (0unless flat screen/panel) or Encyclopedia-type books.
CPR CERTIFICATION – Do you want to get certified in CPR or do you need to be recertified?
If you have an interest in either, please contact Michelle in the church office at 468-4065 or
info@oslc-gb.org by Tuesday, March 8 to sign up. Our class for both is scheduled on Tuesday,
March 22 from 6-9pm but reservations are required.
PADDING THE GYM – N.E.W. Lutheran High School has asked for wall pads in the gym. If
you are interested in providing funds to pay for the padding in whole or in part (the cost of one
pad is $60; $1,160 is needed for the total project), please contact Michelle at 468-4065.
CHICKS WITH STIX – Please add this date to your calendar…April 11 at 6:30pm. It is
important that we get together. We have an exciting new project coming up this spring. Do you
want to LEARN TO KNIT? We will teach you!! This is a service outreach of Our Saviour
Lutheran Church. If you have any questions, please contact Caroline Arndt at 469-3140.
HELP FOR THE HOMELESS – Sunday School students will be collecting personal care items
and cleaning supplies for the Brown County Homeless Coalition and Howe Family Resource
Center. Notes were sent home with students about specific items being requested each week. We

  • 2. LIKE A LAMB – March came in like a lamb…and here at Our Saviour, we celebrate the Lamb of God who came to suffer and die for our sins so that we may have eternal life with Him. We ask visitors to please fill out the Fellowship Pad (it‟s in the hymnal rack) with the date, name, address, phone number, etc. Please come worship again! EXPERIENCING JOY DURING A "CRUCIBLE EXPERIENCE" – Join us for our Bible Study class on Sundays at 9:15 and 10:30am. A "Crucible Experience” is a time of suffering that produces a deep transformation on the inside. Come and watch St. Paul share his deep inner joy during a time in the "crucible" as written in the book of Philippians. NURSERY AND SUNDAY SCHOOL – Children toddling to age 3 are invited to the Nursery (9:15am only) and ages 4 to grade 6 are welcome in Sunday School (children are dismissed to go to class after the Children‟s Sermon during the 9:15am service); classes end at 10:30am. If you need assistance, please talk to an usher. If you need a registration form, they can be found in the office hallway (yellow form in the tall brochure holder by the youth bulletin board). LENT BEGINS THIS WEEK – March 9 is Ash Wednesday and services will be at 4:00pm and 6:30pm. A luncheon will be provided between services by the Fellowship Committee for a free will offering. Weekly Lenten services will continue on Wednesdays at these same times with a luncheon available each week in the gym. If your group is interested in preparing and serving the luncheon for a night or two, please contact Pastor Greg. THINKING ABOUT MEMBERSHIP? WANT TO STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH? – Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 5:20 pm to 6:20pm on March 9, 16, 23 and 30 and April 6 and 13. Your teachers will be Pastor Dave Hatch and Pastor Greg Hovland. This class is used as a path to membership through Adult Confirmation but all members and non-members are welcome to come to strengthen their knowledge in the Christian faith. RSVPs requested but not required; please call Michelle in the office at 468-4065 or email info@oslc-gb.org. GIFT CARDS…FOR EVERYDAY NEEDS – It‟s easy. Stop by the Welcome Center and purchase gift cards. Instead of using cash or a credit card at the store, just use the gift card you bought through our SCRIP program. Many cards are available today (Festival or Copp‟s, BP or Shell gas, Fleet Farm and Wal-Mart, etc.). Check the list of SCRIP for other cards that can be ordered for pick up next week. If you have a large order, a special order may be placed for you upon request; please talk to Julie Richter. Ask about our Tuition Reimbursement plan. REALLY BAD GIRLS OF THE BIBLE – Take a pink schedule from the coffee bar. Copies of the book are available online or at Lighthouse Christian Books. See you on Ash Wednesday (March 9), for our first class! LENT DINNERS HOSTED BY LWML – Some of the dinners between Lenten services will be hosted by the LWML. We no longer have formal meetings, but instead are project-based. We put out pleas for help with specific projects. If you would like to donate food or serve one of the dinners during Lent, we would love it! Watch for sign-up sheets or contact Stephenie Hovland (264-8317), Teri Watt (445-6002), or Donna Arthur (435-2609).

Come join us and bring a friend! Contact Maggie Hinz at 265-6432 with questions. YOUTH NIGHT CHANGES – Beginning this week (March 9-Ash Wednesday), there will be no Wednesday Confirmation Class BUT Confirmation Youth are expected to attend service (at 4 or 6:30pm).
