Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
- 4. ( lowliness of mind ) ? too highly of yourself ? less of yourself see yourself as a gift from God
- 5. ( strength under control ) ? not a sign of weakness ? some tried to use ‘humility’ as equivalent to bear injuries of afflictions
- 6. ( long-suffering toward people ) ? not just waiting around ? is not cramming it is a joyful faithfulness
- 8. a body is comprised of thousand of cells yet every cell shares one life
- 9. same Holy Spirit dwells within every believer so there’s an interconnectedness among us
- 10. that one hope rests solely in Jesus Christ; the hope of eternal life
- 11. KURIOS – one and only supreme ruler of the universe
- 12. one and only truth that was given to the church to believe in
- 13. a signal to the world that we belong to the Body of Christ
- 14. once He is in our lives, we become part of His forever family
- 15. We are all part of one body because one and the same Spirit dwells in every Christ-follower; we all have one common hope; one common Lord; one common faith; one common baptism; and we all bow in worship of the same God and Father.
