Delegate Assembly?
• The Daily News (the official conference onsite
newspaper) will include an article on the 67th
Delegate Assembly Proceedings.
• The 67th
Delegate Assembly Proceedings will be
posted at www.nctm.org no later than May 1.
• Resolution(s) passed by the Delegate Assembly
are forwarded to the NCTM Board of Directors for
review at its July meeting.
• Updates will be published in Affiliate News and
NCTM Summing Up, and posted on the website.
MET Giving Opportunities
• The NCTM Mathematics Education Trust
(MET) provides funds for NCTM Affiliate
grants, including the endowed Kenneth B.
Cummins Award, as well as funds to
support teachers.
• MET’s Board of Trustees invites NCTM
Affiliates to help support its programs.

Affiliates Grant by MET
The Mathematics Education Trust (MET)
provides three grants specifically for
Affiliates:
• Student Affiliate Grant (up to $2,000)
• Associate Affiliate Grant (up to $2,500)
• Partner Affiliate - Kenneth B. Cummins
Grant (up to $3,500)
Affiliate Rebate Program
• Individuals who join or renew membership
online will be given the option to select an
Affiliate to receive a rebate.
• Rebate amounts:
$3 for renewing full and e-members
$5 for new full and e-members
• Rebates will be sent to Affiliates annually in
September.

  • #14: NCTM Legislative Platform Each year the Board passes the Legislative Platform, which states NCTM’s positions on important policy issues under consideration or likely to be discussed in Congress or policy circles. It is the clearest single statement of NCTM legislative and policy priorities. STEM Education Coalition NCTM is an active member of the STEM Education Coalition, which consists of more than 200 education, business, and other organizations with an interest in STEM policies. NCTM Associate Executive Director Ken Krehbiel is a co-chair of the coalition. House STEM Caucus Steering Committee The House STEM Caucus Steering Committee plans briefings for Capitol Hill legislative staff and other events to raise the profile of STEM education and STEM issues in Washington. The House STEM Caucus consists of members of the House of Representatives on both sides of the aisle who advocate for STEM education and STEM. NCTM’s Ken Krehbiel is on the Steering Committee.
