We are in southern Europe, bordering Albania, Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey on the Balkan peninsula. The Greek national anthem was written in 1865 and set to music, titled "Hymn to Liberty". It honors those who fought for freedom. The Greek flag features a cross and nine blue and white lines representing the phrase "Freedom or Death". Greece's parliament has 300 members and sits in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, honoring those who died for the country. The Acropolis overlooks Athens from a high hill and features the renowned Parthenon temple.

- 2. We are in the south of Europe. Greece borders Albania, Serbia,Bulgaria and Turkey. It belongs to the Balkan peninsula.
- 3. NATIONAL ANTHEM It was written by Dionysios Solomos in 1865 in Zakynthos. It was set to music by Nikolaos Mantzaros . The greek title is Hymnos is tin Eleftheria. It was translated in English by Rudyard kipling.

- 5. THE GREEK FLAG • The Greek flag has a cross on the top left corner. • In the flag there are nine lines( 5 blue and 4 white) • The lines are the syllables of the phrase Freedom or Death. • The blue colour means the blue of the sky and the sea and the white the colour of the sea waves
- 6. THE GREEK PARLIAMENT -VOULI • There are 300 members in the parliament .In front of it there is the tomb of the unknown soldier to honor those who died for the country.
