This document provides instructions for students to analyze spectral data to calculate molecular constants for hydrogen bromide (HBr) isotopologues. It outlines the following key steps:
1) Students should have wavelengths, assignments of peaks to branches, and J' and J" values for peaks from their spectra organized and shared.
2) The Linest program will be used to calculate constants like ωe, ωexe, Be, and α from the data.
3) Isotopic abundances and uncertainties will be determined for the 79Br and 81Br isotopologues.
4) Spring constant k, dissociation energy De, and bond length Re will also be calculated using provided equations.
5) Students
