4th Quarter Off-Season Program
Our off-season program is built upon the foundation of competition. We firmly believe that
the more competition is stressed in the off-season, the more you will compete between the
white lines on Friday nights. Some people are naturally competitive. All football teams need
these warriors, however not everyone has the natural instinct to consistently compete at their
highest level all the time. Because of this fact, competition in the off-season will be our
calling card. We have a program designed to instill this trait in all of you. The ones who
learn to consistently compete will rise to the top and the ones that do not will slowly fade into
the background. We will put 11 competitors on the field for Friday nights.
Our program will push you to heights you would otherwise not achieve on your own. There
will be five focus areas to our program. They include strength, agility, speed, flexibility, and
mental toughness. The program is designed to the smallest of details and every detail is
driven by the idea of competition. You will compete against yourself to break personal
records in lifts, agility drills, speed tests, flexibility tests, and jumping tests. You will
compete against each other in lift maxes, agility and speed times, flexibility stretches, and
jumping distances. The top lifters, times, and jumps will be displayed for the entire school to
see. The team will be divided into smaller units that will be called platoons and these
platoons will compete against each other in various competitions such as tag games, no-foul
basketball, dodge ball, tug-o-war, and a competition circuit. Winning platoons will be
rewarded, losers will pay a price. Individuals and platoons will be put in adverse, unfair
situations throughout the off-season to foster even stronger levels of competition and mental
toughness. Friday nights are tough and adversity always strikes, it is better to have experience
in these situations before they arise.
This off-season is where the games next season will be won. The only place that success
comes before work is in the dictionary. You must be willing to pay the price of success.
Winning is an attitude, it is state of being, it is an all the time thing. You can’t pursue
winning sometimes; you must pursue winning all the time. You win by giving your best at all
times in every situation. WIN EVERY DAY!!!!! DESERVE VICTORY!!!!!!
ACADEMICALLY, SOCIALLY, AND ATHLETICALLY!!!!!!
DO YOU WANT TO WIN EVERY DAY?
ARE YOU WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE OF SUCCESS?
