Homeroom First Bell- 7:35a.m.  Late Bell- 7:45a.m. Good (and timely) attendance is necessary for learning.  Please send an excuse note for any absence. Come in quietly, fill out planners, and follow any instructions on the board. Attendance, Lunch Count, Lunch Money Collection, Good Morning Littlewood, and PE 1
Behavior Expectations 5th grade teachers at Littlewood expect students to be leaders and model the following habits and attitudes. The student... 1) Is courteous and respects the rights of  others 2) Observes rules and regulations 3) Assumes responsibility 4) Listens and follows directions 5) Organizes self and materials
Not Here! Sorry kids, no gum, candy, or drinks (other than water) are permitted within the classroom. Cell phones must be off and out of sight during school hours Ipods, CD Players, Radios, or any similar items are not allowed on school campus. If it can distract from learning...it probably isn’t allowed.
5th Grade Point System 5th grade teachers use a point system to determine students’ conduct grades. Students lose points when they do not display the habits and attitudes we expect from 5th graders. Not turning in homework, not being prepared for class, and being disrespectful can result in a loss of points Refer to the Staying on Track letter for more details.

Code of Conduct Students took home a code of conduct book If you have not signed and returned the receipt, please do so
Dress Code Students are expected to dress in a way that will not disrupt the learning process, does not reveal any private body areas, and is not offensive to others. Please...no: exposed underwear/baggy pants (pants need to fit...or wear a belt) spaghetti straps or midriff exposure flip-flops or shoes that interfere with daily PE clothing promoting drug, alcohol, or tobacco use
Grading Policies Math Classwork- 25% Homework- 25% Tests  - 50% Science Classwork/Homework -50% Tests  -25% Labs/Projects -25% Reading Participation/Classwork -20% Theme Tests-30% Comprehension Tests -40% AR -10% Writing Grammar  -50% Writing  -50%
Restroom Policy Students are encouraged to use the restrooms before and after school, during lunch, or before and after specials. Students will need to sign themselves out and take a pass with them. Teachers will sign off in planners. 10 passes per nine weeks will be allowed.
Littlewood Line Policy Littlewood has a SILENT Line Policy! Students are expected to walk in a single-file, SILENT line when moving around campus. This policy is designed to help keep others focused and free from distractions.
Opportunities to be Involved Littlewood welcomes family and community involvement in our school. In addition to working with your students’ classroom teachers, the PTA and SAC need your support.  Chaperones for field trips are also needed often (start planning for Camp Crystal in April).
Littlewood Visitor Policy For the safety of our students and staff, all visitors are required to sign-in at the front office and wear a name tag.
Specials M, T, Th, F 8:45-9:25 Wed. 9:25-10:05 Littlewood has a rotating special schedule. Art, Music, PE, Computer Lab, and resource days are the specials offered
New PE! Littlewood now has more time for PE! PE 1 will be immediately following GML PE 2 will be 15 minutes before Lunch. Don’t worry, students will have PE as a Special too.
Patrols Morning and/or Afternoon Duties Opportunities to become a Patrol Must be responsible, trustworthy, leaders! Washington D.C. trip in June! Contact Ms. Sesock for any information
Field Trips Camp Crystal (3 days/2 nights) Harn Museum (TBA) County-wide Field Day in May Westside Pool & BBQ in June Washington D.C. (for Patrols) There may be opportunities for others!
Planners Planners may be purchased for $5 in the office Must be filled out daily Teachers use planners as a communication tool Please check your student’s planner often
