- 2. This conditional is used when the result will always happen. EXAMPLES: if water reaches 100 degrees, it always boils. It's a fact. I'm talking in general, not about one particular situation. If people eat too much ( if clause), they get fat.(result clause ) If you touch a fire ( if clause), , you get burned. .(result clause ) NOTE :describes what happens in general.
