6.1 Solving Inequalities

Solving inequalities is similar to solving equations, except the inequality sign changes when multiplying or dividing by a negative number. When graphing inequalities on a number line, locate the answer on the number line and use open or closed circles depending on whether the inequality uses < or >, and shade in the appropriate side.
