- 2. Steps: 1. Create 5” x 5” drawing of your chosen design (should have between 10 – 15 shapes in it). 2. Use photocopier to create 7 copies with which you can play with colors (with crayons/colored pencils) – OR – you can scan & use Illustrator to play with color options. 3. Shade the BACK of your photocopied design & transfer onto each of your painting papers. Re-trace over if necessary. 4. Once colors are determined, paint. You will most likely need to paint multiple layers for clean craftsmanship.
