Research For my research I felt that it was to a good quality and had a information that was valid for my work and the way my work has ended up with the style of the images and the way the layout of the page is. One of the strengths of research was that I had researched the style of magazine I would be producing, this is because I had included the music magazines. For my final product this gave me some ideas because it showed me the best way to lay out my work for the music style of this production and how I will do it in a professional standard. The way the header and sub heading look within these magazines has changed my mind for the best because their layouts are created great. one weakness of my research will be that I could have spent more time with the image style rather than looking at text describing them, I would have done this more because I have only seen a few designs for music magazines and I will have added more time to my research too see more. In future I will do this because I feel that I could have improved my work by doing this and understanding what makes a magazine so good rather than being pointless and unclear. This would have improved my would and would have effected it on a scale, this is because I feel that I could have gone into more detail with my design and production as well as the way my text is laid out. This could have made my work better also because it would seem more professional and clean compared to how it is now.

Planning One strength of my planning was that it gave me the chance to look at what I wanted to produce and how I could produce it, I did this by looking into more magazines that I like and how they are laid out on their professional scale. This opportunity also gave me more time to look into what makes the magazine layout so effect and pulsating for the reader. This helped my production because it gave me some ideas for the style of my front cover page design. I used some of these ideas, such as the colour scheme and the way the text is located. This made my work seem more professional and clean. One weakness of my planning is that I don’t spend enough time on it so I could have put more detail into it, I wish I had more time for it so I could have added more production to it and how I will be producing my production. For my final product It was almost like I didn’t know where anything was going at any point, this made it difficult in some places but I figured it out and successfully completed it. If I was to improve my work I would have added more detail to what I want to product and make more design for layout before the final product. In the future I will do this because it will make my work better and more developed for the final design and product.

Time Management I feel that I managed my time to a good standard, this is because I completed all of my work before the deadline and complete every piece, although if I had more time I would have improved some work that I have produced. The work that I would improve is the double page spread produce and also the research I have done. This is because I could have added more detail into my research, this is because I wish I researched more visual research, this is because I wanted to have a better view on what makes magazines good designs. If I had more time I would make the overall quality of my work better. For example I would have added more detail into the front cover with text and image quality and also the text that is located on this cover. I would have also put more detail into the double page spread. I would do this by making the images better on the page, I would do this by adding some effects to them as well as having the burn and lighten tool. If I had more time I would have also added more time into some of my PowerPoint documents, this is because I could have added more information in more detail rather than having it like it is now with the missing context. In the future I will put more time into certain documents such as the product and the written side of the document.
- 5. Technical Qualities These magazines that I am comparing a similar in certain places, such as the torn piece of paper across the page. I like that on my own and the Q magazine include this because it makes the page stand out and the text within the paper also stands out for the reader and draw your eye towards it. Another similarity is that the headers are bold and easy to see, this is because of the bold colour red on the white background contracts perfectly making the image and the header very outstanding and easily viewed from the reader. One difference is that the main image is in black and white whereas on my own magazine I kept the image bright and bold. One more similarity of the images are that the quality of the images are taken professionally with a very good camera to get the best and crisp image. Both of the images are editing to make them looks and be more visually appealing rather than being unclear and unprofessional.
- 6. Aesthetic Qualities In my opinion my work looked well and was to a good stand of work. I feel that it looks professionally produced. I like the way the layout is produced. I feel that my work was creative in some aspect and worked very well for what I aimed for. I aimed to produce a magazine that was neat and clean. I feel that I successfully did this and has improved my skills for the next project that I will produce. One strength of my production is the image quality and location within the page. This is because all of the images are clear and easily seen by the reader. I also feel that the colour scheme of the pages( cover, double page spread) works very well and makes the magazine what it is. This is because it makes the image and text pop out with a good text to image ratio. If I could improve my work I would have spent more time on the text, this is because I want more detail to be included into them. In future I will do this to improve new work. One weakness of my work will be the amount of text located on the double page spread, I feel that I could have put more detail and time into it. In future I will do this for a better detailed and clear piece of work.
- 7. Audience Appeal I feel that the header will be very appealing to the audience because it is bold and easily viewable. It is the first thing you see apart from the image. This sub-heading is very outstanding and very easily to see from the front cover and works very well for a sub- heading with the location and sizing. The main image itself works very well because of the image quality and how the image is located for the final product and design. This quality will be appealing. I have also included a barcode with a issue number so it can be registered and viewable. For this sub-heading I thought to use well known names to attract the audience and there appeal. I also want to talk more about the image. The image is appealing to the audience and is very appealing because of the colour scheme and the people within the work. For this piece of work I decided to produce a different style so it could stand out on the torn style of paper at the bottom of the front cover print.
