This document proposes moving from the current help file system to a new web-based solution using XML technology for incident management. The current help file system has several disadvantages like being its own system, not being searchable or compatible with other programs. The proposed solution would use a web-based system with an XML backend for flexibility, ease of use, cost savings and no need for current help file training or licenses. It would allow for searchability, linking to other resources, and collaboration with clients. This new system would streamline processes, increase productivity and decrease costs through benefits like decreased downtime and improved performance.
