How Managers and Leaders differ Managers have Tasks - and are work focused Subordinates - who follow because they have to Positional authority - vested by the organization Leaders have Vision - and are people focused Followers - who are inspired to follow Personal Charisma - people follow because they want to

Tangible Benefits More employee commitment Smoother work relationships Less turnover better productivity
Leadership Summary Have a vision for the future and a plan to get there Keep calm in crisis and seeks solutions and not blame Motivate rather than intimidate and manipulate Give the credit to others and take the blame as necessary Influence others at the right time Seek the best solution rather than the quick solution Are proactive, leading rather than following trends Take setbacks as lessons learned and move forward in a positive manner
