The literal meaning of Islam is submission.
“Do they seek a religion other than the religion of God,
when everything in the heavens and the earth has
submitted to Him, willingly or unwillingly?”
The Quran, 3:83
“Who is better in faith than one who submits himself
wholly to God, acts righteously, and follows the religion
of Abraham, the upright in faith, whom God chose
for a friend?” The Quran, 4:125

Inner content of Islam is faith and its
external manifestation is submission.
“Islam is manifestation, and faith in a heart.”
Prophet Muhammad
One day Gabriel came to the Prophet and
asked, "What is faith?" The Prophet replied, “Faith
is to believe in God, His angels, the meeting with Him,
His prophets, and to believe in life after death." Then
he asked, "What is Islam?" The Prophet replied, "To
worship God alone and none else, to offer prayers regularly,
to pay the compulsory charity (zakat) and to observe fasts
during the month of Ramadan.”

The spirit of Islam is
peace.
Assalamu-’Alaikum wa
rahmatullah
The Sufis phrase—
Sulh-e-Kul, peace with
all—truly expresses the
spirit of Islam.

Essence of Islam is submission to
God and peace with men.
“Be devoted servant of God.”
The Quran, 3: 79
“A Muslim is one by whose hands
and tongue people are safe; he is
one from whom the lives and
properties of others is safe.”
Prophet Muhammad

God Almighty has sent
the same message
since the beginning
through Prophets. Quran
is the preserved book
of God’s message.

Problems of life are not an
evil but a result of misuse of
God-given freedom. This freedom
was given to man for test.
“This is the truth from your Lord. Let
him who will, believe in it, and him
who will, deny it.” The Quran, 18:29
“We have created man into a life of
toil and trial.” The Quran, 90:4

Respect and
reconciliation with all.
“For you, your religion and
for me, mine.”
The Quran,109:1-6
In times of conflict:
“Reconciliation is the best.”
The Quran, 4:128

Follow cow-culture and
“repel evil with good.”
“Good and evil deeds are not
equal. Repel evil with what is
better; then you will see that
one who was once your enemy
has become your dearest
friend.” The Quran, 41:34

Peace is the method of Islam as
also the way of nature.
“The sun is not allowed to overtake the moon,
nor does the night outpace the day. Each in
its own orbit runs.”
The Quran, 36:40
“God compares a good word to a good tree?
Its root is firm and its branches are in the sky,
it yields its fruit each season with its Lord’s
permission.” The Quran, 14:24-25

Those who follow the path of
peace in this world will be allowed
an entrance into God’s Paradise.
“O soul at peace, return to your
Lord, well-pleased, well-pleasing.
Join My servants.
Enter My Paradise.”
The Quran 89: 27-29
