This paper presents a hybrid under-frequency load shedding method using an artificial neural network (ANN) combined with a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize load shedding capacity. The approach aims to effectively restore system frequency by minimizing the shedding power distributed across various load buses based on their proximity to generator outages. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method compared to traditional load shedding techniques, particularly in enhancing power quality in electrical systems.
