This paper introduces a novel range-free localization scheme for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) that utilizes only two known anchor nodes for effective and low-cost sensor localization. The proposed method, called Flooding Mechanism Localization Method (FMLM), calculates minimum hop counts and divides the monitored area into zones for estimating sensor coordinates, demonstrating superior performance compared to the established dv-hop method. Through simulations, the authors illustrate the effectiveness of their scheme in both low and high density sensor deployments.
