The document presents a CDMA-based power-controlled medium access protocol designed for wireless ad-hoc networks, focusing on enhancing quality of service (QoS) for multimedia applications while minimizing power consumption. It addresses the challenges such as multi-access interference (MAI) and the near-far problem which significantly affect network throughput. Simulation results indicate that the proposed protocol outperforms existing methods in terms of energy efficiency, communication delay, and overall network performance.
