This document describes a real-time pre-crash vehicle detection system using infrared sensors. An infrared transmitter and receiver are attached to an ARM-based microcontroller board. The IR sensors continuously monitor the distance to any vehicles or obstacles in front, and if one is detected within 1 meter, the microcontroller activates a buzzer to warn the driver. The system is intended to help prevent crashes in congested traffic by alerting drivers if they get too close to the vehicle in front.
