Research Questions
What is the transnational impact over the institutions about the adopted language
policy on their MOOCs?.
What is the impact that the application of a policy of support on MOOCs with the
use of OERs has over the institutions?.
Language as barrier in the use and management of OERs in MOOC courses.
Incorporation of OERs within MOOC language courses and the impact on their
quality.
There is a wide variety of OERs, what is the impact of each of them over MOOC
courses and specially on language MOOCs courses?.
Research Questions
Identification of the level of agreement of MOOC language courses with specific
assessment tools in the field of languages, such as “Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment” and
“European Language Portfolio”.
What are the success and failure factors of each of the MOOC courses and
specifically language courses?
Identification of the key factors that determine the quality of a MOOC language
course.
Accreditation management of MOOC courses and their impact on institutional/
corporate strategy.
Impact of knowledge acquired in the MOOC language course on the professional
development of learners.
¿Objectives?
On one hand, MOOCKnowledge project gives us the opportunity to access
data from a wide set of MOOCs, including languages.
On the other hand, this PhD project aims to make an in-depth analysis of
issues that should be of particular interest to the MOOCKnowledge project.
Therefore, we hope this attempt to align the PhD project and
MOOCKnowledge project results in a symbiosis in order that both sides fully
benefit.
