Aardman Animation was founded in 1972 by Peter Lord and David Sproxton in Bristol, England. Some of their most notable and successful works include the characters of Morph (1977), Creature Comforts (1989), and Wallace and Gromit (1989-1995, 2008). Wallace and Gromit in particular helped establish Aardman as a leader in stop-motion animation and have become iconic representations of British culture worldwide. While Aardman is best known for its stop-motion clay animations, it has also produced successful computer-generated films like Chicken Run (2000) and Flushed Away (2006).
