Notable Productions • Morph – First ‘Aardman Celebrity’ • Creature Comforts – first Aardman production to win an Oscar • Wallace and Gromit – Probably Aardman’s most famous characters and the face of BBC in some of their idents • Chicken Run – First feature length film • Flushed Away – First Computer Generated Feature length film
- 4. Morph • Created in 1977. • First real ‘Aardman celebrity’. • Created by Founder Peter Lord. • Lived in an Artisits Wooden Pencil Box • Appeared for over 30 years: first on ‘Take Hart’ in 1977, and most recent in 2009 as a guest in ‘Ashes to Ashes’.
- 5. Creature Comforts • First created in 1989 • Comedy short film about how animals felt about living in a zoo • Created by Nick Park • In 2003, a new television series was released in the same style

Wallace and Gromit • Classic Aardman creation • Cheese loving Lancashire-man and his silent dog considered international icons of Modern British Culture. • First appeared in a series of 30 minute films (1989 – 1995) with a more recent one in (2008) • Created by Nick Park • Feature Length Film: ‘The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’

- 8. Feature Films • Called: ‘The Curse of the Were-Rabbit’ (2008) • Joint venture with DreamWorks Animation, however was still produced and directed by the creator of Wallace and Gromit, Nick Park • Won a number of film awards, including an ‘Academy Award for Best
- 9. Fire! • 10th October 2005 a serious fire hit the a storage facility used by Aardman and other companies • 30 years of models, props and scenary were destroyed • Didn’t prevent current productions at the time
- 10. Future Productions • Arthur Christmas (2011) – Aardman’s first 3-D computer animated feature film • The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists (2012) – Aardmans first 3-D Stop-Motion feature film
