The thesis investigates factors associated with anaemia among pregnant women in Mandera County, Kenya, highlighting that anaemia is a significant public health issue, predominantly due to nutritional deficiencies such as iron, folate, and vitamin B12. The study reveals a lack of awareness among women regarding the causes of anaemia and sources of iron-rich foods, with most facing challenges in accessing these food items. Recommendations include the implementation of educational interventions to promote the importance of iron and folic acid supplementation to prevent anaemia during pregnancy.
