This paper discusses the security issues faced by Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems, particularly in cloud environments, highlighting a need for a secured framework to combat various threats. It reviews existing VoIP architecture, identifies vulnerabilities, and proposes a new security framework incorporating intrusion prevention systems (IPS), video watermarking, and biometric features to protect against misuse and attacks. The study presents an extensive survey of VoIP security challenges and defense mechanisms aimed at enhancing protection against malicious activities.
