Discuss your current and future business plans with us and let us guide you toward the least resistance path to cloud adoption that provides value to your business. Led by consultants and architects, these sessions are hands on and will take your as-is business state of affairs and guide you towards the to-be state. We work with you to identify and quantify value in both the hard and soft savings with cloud adoption. Hard savings could be hardware, software, services, resources while soft savings could be faster time to market and increase in market share. This workshop session will help you lay out a roadmap for cloud adoption with concrete deliverables such as business value assessment (shows the costs of not moving vs. cloud to annual and aggregate savings with cloud adoption), project plans, etc. 2. APPLICATION WORKLOAD DISCOVERY / ASSESSMENT Realize cloud benefits by migrating the appropriate datacenter workloads. We discover application workloads using automated tools. If there is an existing Configuration Management Database (CMDB) or any other consolidated data repository available, we examine this to gather data center workload information and validate it against the migration criteria. We then classify them in migration phases depending on their complexity. Once we discover application workload information (operating system, software stack, upstream and downstream dependencies, storage, database, network, Non Functional Requirements (NFR’s), etc.), we assess this information to determine if they are ready to and should migrate to the cloud. Historically, we found that approximately 20% of workloads are not utilized by end users and can be retired immediately, resulting in immediate cost savings. This session will help you lay out a roadmap for cloud adoption with concrete deliverables such as: list of application workloads that are ready to move to the cloud, workload prioritization, project plans, etc. 3. MIGRATION TO THE CLOUD Use Nubelity Cloud Solutions Framework (NCSF) to accelerate cloud migration. This is a collaborative journey where we work closely with your application architects, integration teams, and project managers, who have the application knowledge to execute the migration process. Based on the result of the discovery and assessment session, we work collaboratively to: • Identify executive sponsors and stakeholders • Determine customer and Nubelity project resources • Validate migration project plans • Select migration tools • Finalize to-be application architecture (physical, logical, and application) • Determine functional and user acceptance testing plans At the end of this component, you will execute on the approved project plan in collaboration with business users and project managers to ensure minimal disruption to the business. • Set up cloud infrastructure environment: ◦◦ User and security credentials (including federation) ◦◦ Virtual private clouds/zones ◦◦ Ingress and egress of data ◦◦ Application network isolation ◦◦ Application storage and data migration strategies 4. MANAGED SERVICES ON THE CLOUD Run efficiently on the cloud. “Ok, I migrated to the cloud. What’s next? How do I manage, maintain, or how do I scale or be elastic?” As part of the migration process, we work with application owners and project managers to determine the steady state support for the application post-migration to the cloud. This includes the managed services team assisting in the migration process 30 days prior to go live (T-30). After the application goes live, owners will stay closely involved for 15 days to ensure smooth function and minimal disruption and work with the current managed services teams to update current data center processes including rewriting L1, L2 support run books. We select the right monitoring tools and evaluate existing ones to determine the right solution to support the new cloud steady state environment. This will be part of the overall cloud governance model that determines the necessary people, process, and technology implementations/changes to accommodate cloud steady state models.
