This document discusses the Distributed Power-Flow Controller (DPFC), an innovative component derived from the Unified Power-Flow Controller (UPFC) that operates without a common DC link, allowing for active power exchange at third harmonic frequencies. The DPFC utilizes multiple small single-phase converters to increase reliability and reduce costs while providing the same control capabilities as traditional FACTS devices. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the DPFC in maintaining stable power flow while adjusting transmission line parameters like impedance and voltage.
