This paper presents an advanced flux-weakening control strategy for interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSM) to expand their speed range. It introduces a hybrid control method that combines two classic techniques to improve stability and velocity tracking efficiency in the deep flux weakening region, with simulation results demonstrating its effectiveness. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of the operational zones of IPMSM under different control methods, highlighting the challenges and solutions for maintaining steady performance in this critical area.
