Daily Meeting is not for Progress Tracking.
Velocity is not used for comparing Performances
of Different Teams.
Agile is all about Steady Pace to cope with
changes. Pretty much like Doing Marathon.
Sometimes, you sprint, and at the end of journey
you will even accelerate with a regular rate.
Don’t care
about the
quality.
01
Tailor the
practice freely
without
knowing the
consequences.
02
Don’t do
Retrospective.
Or Turn it into
Blaming game.
03
§ “於是它就死掉了!”
§ Lack of Management Support
§ Partial Transformation
§ Leadership Impediments
§ Unbalanced Coaching
§ Cultural Disengagements
AGILE
TRANSFORMATION
§ It's essential to do a full and complete
change to Scrum all at once, says Mike
Cohn. "Trying to go slowly, or do partial
or gradual Agile process, doesn't work.”

§ Right People Brings the Right approach, start small, then expand
AGILE
TRANSFORMATION
§ Starting with creating the Right Contract !
§ BUSINESS ARE FULL OF RISK !
§ HOW MUCH DOYOU UNDERSTAND / TRUST
YOUR CUSTOMERS ?
§ HOW MUCH DOYOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW
ABOUT / TRUST YOU ?
§ HOW MUCH DO WE UNDERSTAND OURSELVES
?
§ WRITTEN DOCUMENTS AND CONTRACTS ARE
FOR PROTECTION !
§ 1. Educate the whole Team on Agile Mindset.
§ 2.The whole Team
§ Business Side : Marketing, Account Manager
§ Business Side : Legal
§ Business Side : Procurement
§ Product Owner, Project Manager, Business Analyst.
§ Engineer Side : Dev Team Representatives
Agile In Transition and In Business World | Mick Chung
Fixed Time
Fixed Cost
Fixed Quality
The only variable is Scope.
Customers can change their minds
Suppliers aren’t encouraged to sacrifice
quality as soon as something goes wrong
Customers’ and suppliers’ interests are
contractually aligned
The knowledge that both parties gain
during the project can influence the
finished product.
SET UP Fixed
Price per
iteration.
Incremental
delivery, Regular
payment.
HENCE
• Frequent opportunities for
either party to abandon.
• Customer risk mitigated if
highest priority features
are delivered first.
• Supplier risk mitigated by
proving their value,
building relationship.
Set up “Target Cost” will make
total cost a joint responsibility.
Since target cost is defined, so
is the target price.
Any costs above target shared
fairly.
Any savings under target also
shared.
IN THE
CONTRACT (ON
CUSTOMER)
§ Specify Customer’s obligations
§ Prioritize backlogs/items by Business Value.
§ Mutually agreed estimates for all work items.
§ Participate in each Sprint planning meeting
(Scrum)
§ Participate in writing the conditions of
satisfaction.(Scrum)
§ Participate in each Sprint review meeting, and
provide timely feedbacks.(Scrum)
IN THE
CONTRACT
(ON
CUSTOMER)
CHANGE FOR
FREE
§ As long as the high level goal is
not changed, Customer can ask
for changes on features as
desired.
Customers HAVE the option to
terminate contract at the end of ANY
SPRINT. IF THEY THINK THE
PROJECT IS NO LONGERVALUABLE.
CUSTOMER MIGHT HAVE TO PAY
20% OF THE REMAINING
CONTRACT.
Customer should follow the agreed
upon protocols on project
participation.
Supplier should specify the “Total
Value of the contract”.
Rates for time and materials
billings.
Scope of the contract. ( Master
Service Provided)
Supplier is required to deliver at
least 80% of the scope with the
"High Quality" Deliverables
before the agreed date.
Accept that “High Quality” is “THE
DEFINITION OF DONE MADE BY
CUSTOMER”.
§ Business Analysis – The
Common Language for
Communication
§ Applied Business Analysis
Knowledge to act as a guide
and lead the business
through unknown or
unmapped territory, to get it
to its desired destination.
