How can I get involved…………. 14 December 2014 4 Apprenticeships Airbus Defence and Space offer two apprenticeships: •Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship –3 years •Craft Apprenticeship –3 years Engineering Apprenticeship •A structured training and development scheme •1 full year in College (Portsmouth) •The remaining 2 years include placement blocks in business departments including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, EVT, Materials and AIT •You will also attend college in the final 2 years in ‘block releases •At the end of the apprenticeship you will have attained an HNC in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Craft Apprenticeship •A structured hands on training and development scheme •Year 1 and 2 will include placements in key hands on Satellite manufacturing departments as well as day release at college •Year 3 will include a single placement in AIT where you will gain comprehensive knowledge of the area you’re deemed best suited and have excelled in
