○ Connect both to wifi when you arrive
◎ Bring spare power pack for device(s)
◎ Use several Twitter apps
◎ Know how to turn off sound on devices
Content
◎ Produce a Twitter crib sheet
◎ Draft and/or schedule some tweets
◎ Tweet to say you will be live-tweeting
○ use #MyEvent hashtag
○ pin that tweet to Twitter profile
◎ Think about the timing of scheduled
tweets
○ include room details
◎ Should you use a second hashtag?
Scheduling tweets
◎ Twitter advertiser account needed
on native app
◎ Schedule using Tweetdeck,
Hootsuite or an app like Twuffer
◎ Find the shortcuts that work for you
At the event
◎ Find a comfortable seat
◎ Do I need to edit any scheduled tweets?
◎ Check battery level in devices
○ Plug in power pack when device reaches
50%
◎ Log in to wifi with both devices
◎ If the speaker says “don’t tweet this” – then
don’t
After the event
◎ Are there any tweets that I want to
delete?
◎ Review the hashtag for the following
week
◎ Capture tweets in Wakelet (or
alternative)
○ Check accidental alternative hashtags
eg #ili18
◎ Tweet your wakelet / blog post /
reflections
◎ Thank the organisers and sponsors!
