This document analyzes the coverage and examination of environmental impact topics in the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase curriculum in South Africa. The researcher analyzed curriculum policy documents and examination papers from 2012-2015 for three subjects: Life Sciences, Geography, and Agricultural Sciences. The findings show unequal coverage of topics across subjects, with Life Sciences having the widest coverage and Agricultural Sciences the least. While policy documents indicate environmental content should feature in all subjects, examination coverage is not fully aligned. The study concludes more focus is needed on environmental education in the FET curriculum to develop learners' pro-environmental values.
