The urinary system is responsible for filtering waste from the blood and excreting it from the body in the form of urine. It includes two kidneys, two ureters, a bladder, and urethra. The kidneys filter waste from the blood to form urine which then travels down the ureters into the bladder where it is stored until release through the urethra.
