A very good and warm morning to everyone assembled here, I m Areez Irfan, I m
Hina Naseer.
We both take the privilege of comparing this event S.E.T Engineering Olympiad of
University Of Central Punjab, and it is our pleasure to welcome you all to this
wonderful program. I request all the dignitaries to kindly occupy the seats on the
dais.
It is mark of our undying tradition to invoke the almighty at the beginning of an
important event. Like the great philosopher once said “The function of prayer is not to
influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.” I like to call
upon Hafiz --------to pray for us.
Thank you ------ we all feel blessed indeed!
Before the launch, let me first acknowledge the presence of some of our eminent
guests, XYZ………………………………………………………………………………………………….
I would like to invite Sir Nabeel Khalid Lecturer Faculty of Engineering, to formally
welcome the gathering.
Thank you sir for your earnest welcome address.
• Areez: Without taking much of your time, permit us
to start the program. Hina do you feel some
turbulence around here ?
• Hina: Yes, I do – the heart beats have gone up –
and everyone seems eager and excited for the
olympiad .
• Areez: Well, here you are. Today, we will have

•
•
• Description:
• Circuit designing is a process of designing a certain circuit according to the given scenario. In this even certain
scenarios (related to electrical engineering) will be given to the team of students and they will be asked to
design the circuit according to the given scenario. This event will test the analytical ability of the participant i.e.
what he had studied so far during his electrical engineering.
•
•
• Rules and Regulations:
• A team will consist of either one or two members.
• Scenarios will be given to each team.
• There can be two to three scenarios (It will depend on the difficulty level).
• There will be no hardware implementation in this event.
• Scenario can be anywhere from the engineering courses.
• Scenarios can vary from team to team depending upon the batch (e.g. F12, F13, F14 or F15).
• Every team can take two hints.
• Maximum time allowed will be 30 minutes.
• There will be two rounds, in the first round all teams will participate. From which top 10 teams will qualify for
the final round.

• Only software based implementation will be required.
• Team achieving the maximum approximation of solution for the given problem in less time and less penalties would be declared
winner.
• If two teams complete their task at a same time and their scenario is working perfectly, then the one who implemented neatly
on software would be a winner.
• In case of cheating, respective team will be disqualified immediately.
• Decision of judges will be final.
• Participating teams must report to management before competition starts otherwise that team will be disqualified.
• Every group member should have to follow the rules and regulations of lab during the competition. Otherwise the respective
team will be disqualified immediately.

•
• Event Description:
• This event is about soldering skills in which your speed and designing skills
are to be judged. You are given a circuit diagram and what you do is to implement this circuit
neatly and fastly on the “veroboard”. At the end, the circuit must be working perfectly and
the winner is to be selected upon following qualities: speed > good finishing > working
circuit. You are provided with a Veroboard, some components that are to be used and
soldering iron.

• Wastage of solder wire and given electronic components (resistor, transistor, capacitor, etc)
is not allowed in any case, if you do so you will be out of the competition.
• There are 3 rounds, one of them is final round.
• Decision of jury is final, no one can challenge it.

Songs Session.
• Singer-1: Now HOLD YOUR BREATH FOR the first singing performance. Yes... Omer
maqsood is going to draw the strings of our hearts and add his soothing voice to
cherish our souls by chanting a beautiful song.
Tere Husn Ko Parde Ki Zaroorat Nahi Hai Ghalib
Kon Hosh Mein Rehta Hai Tujhe Dekhne K Baad..
Please put your hands together to welcome our first performer omer maqsood to
sing a song....
.......
That was indeed a lovely performance. How captivating! How solacing. The tone of
music still tickling my ear drums… keep it up my dear.
Let’s move forward and be ready to listen to a sufi song from an angelic voice of Mr
Ahsan Farzand.
• Thanks Ahsan… How sweet and eloquent our
mother tongue is, you recalled today. Indeed a
heart wrenching song you sang bro.
Hearty Laugh.(Game)
• Hamza Ahmad Khan
• Hearty Laugh: This game is hilarious to watch, and even
more fun to play. It’s a real challenge, especially for
people who can’t keep a straight face. Players have to
sit in a circle (on chairs if necessary), facing each other.
The player who starts says “ha!”, the next player in the
circle says “ha ha!”, the third player says “ha ha ha!”
and so on around the circle. As soon as someone says
the wrong number of “ha”s, or starts laughing, they
have to leave the circle. Once a player leaves the circle,
they have to try and make the rest of the players laugh
or make a mistake. The person who makes a mistake or
laughs last is the winner.
• This was all about this event. I hope you all have enjoyed this mesmerizing
occasion. I, on behalf of Society of electronics and technology university of
central punjab, thank all of you, for coming and remaining with us during
this delighting event. I am especially thankful to Chief Guest
Mr……………………Mr…………Mr……………(mention the names of special guests
as many there are) for his/their cordial joining. It really proved encouraging
for us all. I express gratitude to the organizers, who work round the clock to
make this program successful. I thank all those who implicitly or explicitly
became the part of this event.
• And, I congratulate all the participants for the catchy and captivating
performance. We are all pleased with their performance. Thanks to you all.
• I would like to conclude this event with some couplets of Jigar
Murad’aabadi.
• Tujhi se ibtada hai tu hi ik din intaha hoga
sada-e-saz hogi aur na saz-e-besada hoga
hamen malum hai hum se suno mahashar mein kya hoga
sab us ko dekhte honge wo hamako dekhata hoga
sar-e-mahashar hum aise aasiyon ka aur kya hoga
dar-e-jannat na va hoga dar-e-rahamat to va hoga
jahannum ho ki jannat jo bhi hoga faisala hoga
ye kya kam hai hamara aur us ka samana hoga
• Thank you, blessed be you all!.

  • 22. Hearty Laugh.(Game) • Hamza Ahmad Khan • Hearty Laugh: This game is hilarious to watch, and even more fun to play. It’s a real challenge, especially for people who can’t keep a straight face. Players have to sit in a circle (on chairs if necessary), facing each other. The player who starts says “ha!”, the next player in the circle says “ha ha!”, the third player says “ha ha ha!” and so on around the circle. As soon as someone says the wrong number of “ha”s, or starts laughing, they have to leave the circle. Once a player leaves the circle, they have to try and make the rest of the players laugh or make a mistake. The person who makes a mistake or laughs last is the winner.
