Anfield

Anfield is a football stadium located in Liverpool, England that has been the home of Liverpool F.C. since 1892. Originally built in 1884, Anfield was first used by Everton F.C. but they left after a rent dispute. Future plans were initiated in 2002 to replace Anfield with a new 61,000 seat stadium located nearby, but the project was delayed. A new 71,000 seat stadium called Stanley Park Stadium is now under construction and scheduled to open in 2011, after which Anfield will be demolished as part of a redevelopment project.
