Choose an object in
the classroom.
Describe it using all
FIVE sense’s (sight,
hearing, taste,
touch and smell)
What Are We Going To Be Exploring Today?
Identify and
name a variety
of common
animals (fish,
amphibians,
reptiles, birds,
mammals)
1
Identify and
name animals
based on their
diet (carnivores,
herbivores,
omnivores)
2
Describe and
compare the
structure of
common animals
3
Identify, name,
draw, and label
basic human
body parts and
associate them
with senses
4
Things I Bet You
Didn’t Know
 Dolphins sleep with one eye
open
 Octopuses have three hearts
 The human nose can detect
over a trillion different
smells
 The human body contains
enough carbon to make 900
pencils
Four Questions
Which Human body
is associated with
the sense of touch?
What is the main
differences between
carnivores,
herbivores and
omnivores?
What type of
animals are
omnivore?
What is the
interesting fact
about animals or
humans did you find
most surprising?
Common Animals: Fish
Fish are found in both fresh and saltwater environments and come
in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and colors.
Common Animals: Amphibians
Amphibians are cold-blooded creatures. A defining characteristics is their ability to live
both in aquatic and terrestrial environments.
Common Animals: Reptiles
A reptile is an air-
breathing animal that has
scales instead of hair or
feathers.
Common animals: Birds and Mammals
Birds are the only living animals to have
feather, whereas mammals are the only
animals to have hair.

Animal Diets
Carnivores: A carnivore is an organism that mostly
eats meat, or the flesh of animals. Example: Lions
Herbivores: Herbivore is an organism that eats
mostly plants.
Omnivores: Omnivores is an organism that eats
both plants and animals
Scientific Observations
• Grouping animals and using senses for
exploration
• How animals use their senses to navigate
their environment. (youtube.com)
Human Body
Parts
Senses and Associated Body Parts
Sense of sight: eyes Sense of hearing: ears Sense of taste: mouth
Sense of touch: skin Sense of smell: nose

Four Questions
• What are the three common
examples of omnivores?
• Why is it important for
humans to have a balanced
diet?
• What sense helps animals
sense danger?
• what sense do we use to enjoy
music
Conclusion
Can You Teach Me One Thing You Have
Learnt Today?
Thank You!
