- 2. Objectives The purpose of the this presentation is to inform you of the modern technology company, Apple Inc. They develop and sell computers, portable media players, mobile phones, and computer hardware.
- 3. Apple Inc . Apple Inc. has been one of the most successful companies in America. Created in 1976, Apple has made a big impact in the computer industry. Apple Inc. is soaring through the 2000’s, excelling amazingly. Steven Jobs and Steven Wozniak, founders of Apple Inc.
- 4. Apple Retail Stores On May 19 th , 2001, Apple launched it’s first retail stores in Virginia and California. Today there are about 200 stores in 5 different countries, a huge success. Underground Apple store on 5 th Avenue in New York City.
- 5. iPod The iPod was Apple’s first mp3 player. It was introduced in October, 2001. It expanded the company’s products from not just computers. Today the iPod, starting at $249, holds up to 160GB. You can listen to songs, look at pictures, and watch videos.
- 6. iPod shuffle The iPod shuffle was introduced in January 2005. The iPod shuffle is tiny small sized iPod for on the go. Today, the shuffle, starts at $49 and holds up to 2GB. It only features music.
- 7. iPod nano The nano was introduced in September, 2005. The iPod nano is the world’s most popular music player. Today, it holds up to 8GB and starts at $149. Songs, pictures, videos, and more, are features of the nano.
- 8. iPod touch iPod touch is Apple first touch screen iPod launched in September, 2007. It is also Apple’s first iPod able to access the internet. Today it holds up to 32GB, and starts at $299. Songs, pictures, videos, and internet, are also features of the iPod touch.
- 9. MacBook Apple’s MacBook, introduced in May 2006, is a small laptop with so much to offer. With great graphics and fast performance, the MacBooks are a great seller. Today, it holds up to 2.4GHz, and starts at $1,099.
- 10. MacBook Air Apple’s MacBook air was introduced in January, 2008. It is the world’s thinnest laptop, between 0.16 and 0.76 inches thin. It hast great performance and is very portable at only 3 pounds. Today, it has up to 1.8GHz and starts at $1,799.
- 11. iPhone The iPhone, introduced in June 2007, was Apple’s boldest idea. It was a touch screen phone, camera, iPod, and could access the internet. It became known worldwide, and was named Time magazine’s 2007 invention of the year. Today, it holds up to 16GB of storage and starts at $399.
- 12. iTunes iTunes was introduced in January, 2001. It is a free downloaded program used to purchase and organize your own music and video library. It can be used on a PC or Mac, and an iPod is not needed. The iTunes music store sold more than 100 million songs in the first year.
- 13. (PRODUCT) RED When you purchase a special edition (PRODUCT) RED iPod model (iPod shuffle, iPod nano or iTunes gift card), Apple gives a portion of the money to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa!
- 14. Success Apple made $24.01 billion in the year 2007. Apple is ranked 121 st in Fortunes top 500 of America’s largest corporations. Starting as a small hobby project between college friends, Apple has grown to be a unique successful company.
