This document introduces the ArtBART project, which allows passengers on San Francisco BART trains to create and share artwork using their mobile devices. Screens will be installed inside and outside BART trains and stations to display the artwork in real time as people create and submit pieces wirelessly from their phones. The goal is to make art more accessible and encourage creativity among all people who ride BART every day. An initial investment of $3 million will go toward new screens to display the mobile artwork across the BART system and help transform the daily commute into a more beautiful shared experience.
