ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE THE SIMULATION OF HUMAN INTELLIGENCE BY SOFTWARE
Introduction
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human
intelligence by software-coded heuristics, which are algorithms
and rules designed to mimic the problem-solving and decision-
making abilities of humans.
■ The goal of AI is to enable machines to perform tasks that
typically require human intelligence, such as recognizing
objects, understanding speech, making decisions, and even
learning new things.
Types of artificial
intelligence
■Strong AI or Artificial General
Intelligence (AGI)
■Weak AI or Narrow AI
Strong AI or Artificial General
Intelligence (AGI)
It is a type of artificial intelligence that is designed to
perform any intellectual task that a human can like
reason and solve problems like humans, recognise and
understand images and videos, etc..
Examples of strong AI are
> Theoretical AI systems like the Singularity
> Research projects like Google’s DeepMind and
Facebook’s AI
Weak AI or Narrow AI
It is a type of artificial intelligence that is designed to
perform a specific task or set of tasks such as image
recognition, fraud detection, playing game like chess
etc..
Examples of weak AI are
> Virtual assistants like Siri or Alexa
> Image recognition systems like Google Lens

Conclusion
As a conclusion Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a
transformative technology that has the potential to
revolutionize numerous aspects of our lives, from
healthcare and education to transportation and
entertainment. While AI offers many benefits, such as
increased efficiency, improved accuracy, and enhanced
decision-making, it also raises important ethical and
societal concerns, including job displacement, bias, and
privacy issues.
