Visual Studio 2013 Pro introduces new features that allow developers to use Webforms, MVC, Web API, and Classic ASP together in one project for better performance. It features updates to Entity Framework for transaction handling, async queries and saves, multiple database contexts, and code first mapping to stored procedures. MVC 5 is updated with Bootstrap, authentication filters, attribute routing, and scaffolding for async controllers. Visual Studio 2013 also enables scaffolding across MVC, Webforms, and Web API, supports single page applications and SignalR, and includes improvements to JavaScript navigation, test status indicators, Browser Link, IntelliSense, and native Git support.
