Q1. Define the following terms:
(a) Inertial frame with example
(b) Non-inertial frame with example
Q2. Write the postulates of Special theory of Relativity.
Q3. Describe the Michelson-Morley experiment with figure. Give the mathematical
derivation for the expected fringe shift in this experiment due to ether.
Q4. A rocket ship is 50 meters long. When it is flight, its length appears to be 49.5
meters to an observer on the ground. Find the speed of the rocket.
Q5. A clock measures the proper time. With what velocity it should travel relative to
an observer so that it appears to go slow by 30 seconds in a day?
