2. LATEST TECHNOLOGY
According to Sloan (1999), it is the application of science,
engineering and instructional organization to create a
human build world.
4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)
It is the study of how to make
computers do things that
people are better at or would
be better at if they could extend
what they do to a worldwide
web sized amount of data and
not make mistakes (Rich, 1985).
5. TYPES OF AI (Survey 2019)
Narrow AI, it is designed to complete very specific action, unable to
independently learn (self driving cars )
Strong AI. designed to learn, think and perform at
similar level to human (chatGPT)
Super AI. It is able to superpass
the knowledge and capabilities of
human.
6. BENEFITS OF AI
It can make
everyday life
more enjoyable
and convenient
Makes work
easier for
students and
professsionals
Helps to
marginalised
groups by
offering
accessibility for
people with
disabilities
Can improve
workplace and
safety
Can function as
realiable
research partner
7. DISADVANTAGES OF AI( Stevie & Ammara 2023)
Machine dependency
Lack of creativity
High infrastructure costs
High unemployment
Lacking improvement
11. AI used in education
Zhang (2016) states
that VM is a
multimedia
integrated e-
learning
environment that
stresses interaction,
personalization and
intelligence. E.g,
blackboard
Virtual
mentor According to Canbek
& Mutlu (2016) this
allows students to
search for materials,
reference questions,
articles and books
by simply speaking
or mentioning
keywords. E.g siri
(apple) and Cortana
(Microsoft).
Voice
assistant It permits
instructors and
educators to plot an
advanced
educational
programs .across
videos, sound and
an online colleague
( Jain & Alam, 2020).
