- 3. Environment pollution can be defined as any undesirable change in physical, chemical and biological characteristics of any component of the environment i.e. air, water and soil which can cause harmful effects on various forms of life.

Fresh water present on the earth surface is used for many purpose like drinking, domestic uses, agriculture, irrigation etc.

Ozone, a gas, is a major part of air pollution in cities. When ozone forms air pollution, it's also called smog. Some air pollutants are poisonous.
