 Environment pollution can be defined as any
undesirable change in physical, chemical and
biological characteristics of any component of
the environment i.e. air, water and soil which
can cause harmful effects on various forms of
life.
 The term pollution can be defined as
influence of any substance causing nuisance,
harmful effects and uneasiness to the
organisms.
 Pollution is very dangerous to our nature.
 Water Pollution
 Air Pollution
 Land Pollution
 Noise Pollution
 Water pollution can be defined as the
alteration in physical, chemical or biological
characteristics of water through natural or
human activities and making it unsuitable
for its designated use.
 Fresh water present on the earth surface is
used for many purpose like drinking,
domestic uses, agriculture, irrigation etc.
 Air Pollution is a mixture of solid particles
and gases in the air. Car emissions,
chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and
mold spores may be suspended as particles.
 Ozone, a gas, is a major part of air pollution
in cities. When ozone forms air pollution,
it's also called smog.
 Some air pollutants are poisonous.
 Land Pollution is the demolition earth’s
land surface often caused by human
activities and their misuse of land
resources.
 it occurs when waste is not disposed
properly.
 Urbanization and Industrialization are
major causes of land pollution.
 Noise pollution, also known as environmental
noise or sound pollution, is the propagation of
noise with ranging impacts on the activity of
human or animal life.
 The source of outdoor noise worldwide is
mainly caused by machines, transport, and
propagation systems.
 Noise becomes undesirable when it disturbs
the normal activities.
o Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials.
o Reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove use.
o Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials.
o Reduce the number of trips you take in your car.
o Commute smart by walking or riding to work or the
shops instead of driving. Motor vehicle emissions
remain the most significant source of most
common air pollutants.
o Choose a fuel-efficient vehicle next time
when you are replacing your car.
o Save energy, by turning off the television and
make sure you flick the light switch when you
leave the room.
o Buy energy-efficient appliances.
o Use environment friendly cleaning products.
