Which intrigues you to watching the rest of the film. As the opening sequence links to the film. The fact the pace of the editing and sound matched made it all the more exciting and interesting to watch even though it was a title sequence. Psyco Katia Martins Black Swan Blue Valentine Leticia Silva Gattaca Black swan inspired me because the girl sees herself in different eyes, she has a split personality and this has to do with the idea of my opening sequence. I also like the fact that only she can see her other identity. Blue valentine inspired me because of the fact that it was set during valentines day which is the idea I want to portray in my own opening sequence. The inspirational fact of hiding your identity and I also liked the microscopic camera used as it was really interesting. Because of how interestingly everything he did linked to the title. Se7en Because it was very bubbly and joyful, and established the genre. Blue Valentine Noor Naoum Ginger Snaps U Turn I was inspired because there was psychological issues within the opening sequences which leads to gore. I was inspired because it shows the man on a long journey and he sees symbols of death such as the dead wolf being eat by birds.
- 4. Our first main idea was: - A young girl is leaving the hospital. - Her silent point of view is shown. - Instead of going to her psychiatrist she goes to the canal. - She tries to commit suicide but she is stopped by a stranger. - She runs home crying to hear her parents arguing.
- 5. Some new ideas we have are New Ideas Inspired by Girl locked up in a room, isolated. She tries to escape by can’t. She’s been locked up due to her hallucinations. The film Locked in a room. As its about three teenagers locked up in separate rooms and monitored. Girl is being stalked by her twin sister everywhere she goes, and decides to commit suicide as she can’t take it anymore. The film Swimfan. Is about a stalker girl who stalks the guy she's in love with and then kills him. This inspired the stalking idea. Girl has hallucinations/thoughts of where everyone around her disappears and she can’t see no one. All she hears are voices. The film Silent House, due to the character hearing voices at the end. Girls hallucinations are triggered by a date. She has memories of how she killed her boyfriend on this day which causes her to hear his voice. The film Requiem for a dream inspired this idea as in the films they take drugs and begin to hallucinate as their addiction becomes too strong.
- 6. Our 4 main new ideas for an opening sequence are: Judy Ibelgauptiene Katia Martins Leticia Silva Noor Naoum Girl is leaving hospital, and is on her way to the bus stop. She has a flashback to her twin sister stalking her who she killed by accident. She hallucinates her sister stalking and talking to her. Which causes the girl to commit suicide. A girl is on the bus, starring out the window and turns to look at the girl sitting next to her which is actually her and says “14-02-12’’. The girl panics and has a flashback of her seeing her boyfriend die on valentines day. When she looks back it’s a different girl. She wakes up in the hospital as she has an injury and then leaves and sees no one around her but in fact its all in her head. As everyone is there but she can’t see them, but they can see her. A girl is isolated in her bedroom and she visualises things that aren't actually there. So she starts injuring herself unreasonably and taking drugs.
