Assignment expectations
- 1. ENGL 102-01 Summer 2019 Assignment Expectations Discussion Board Postings and Responses: Discussion board postings will be due every Monday and Wednesday at 11:59 PM PST. In order to earn full credit, you must actively engage and respond to all questions in multiple, complete sentences. These discussion boards act as a replacement for in-class discussion and activities. They are designed to strengthen your understanding of the material covered in class. You must respond to at least one peer each week. Responses are due the following day (Tuesday and Thursday at 11:59 PM PST). In order to earn full credit on your response, you must show an awareness to the original poster’s contribution and actively engage with their content. These responses should be multiple sentences and touch on multiple portions of the original posting. Weekly Assignments: Each week you will have 2-3 official assignments that are related to both the content of the course and the unit project. Assignment dates will vary for these assignments, but they will always be listed by the beginning of the week. All assignments must be uploaded as a Word document or PDF unless otherwise stated. You must apply current MLA format guidelines to every assignment. Unit Projects: All unit projects will have specific guidelines for you to follow. These may not always be the same; please read them carefully. You will have an opportunity to revise all unit projects for a higher score. Grading and Deadlines: Please see the syllabus for detailed grading information. Meeting all requirements listed on the assignment sheet will earn you a minimum of a B. All assignments will be scored in the gradebook with a max of 10. All assignments, discussion board postings, and responses will be due at 11:59 PST.
